Add Your Name: Call on Congress to Enact Sensible Gun Reform
On Thursday February 22nd, GLAAD Campus Ambassadors, representing a group of 130 students from colleges and universities in more than forty states nationwide, wrote an open letter to congress calling for sensible gun reform.
This letter was penned directly following the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting that took the lives of 17 young students. Specific asks in the letter include reform that bans high powered assault weapons, bans bump stocks, requires universal background checks with no loopholes, and prohibits gun ownership for those convicted of domestic violence. Read the full letter here and add your name below in support of these students’ demands.
