L Word Mississippi: Hate the Sin Documentary Film Screening, Panel Discussion & Reception

 lword-summer.png

L Word Mississippi: Hate the Sin earned the 2015 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Documentary. During our stop in Jackson, GLAAD will host a screening and discussion with several people who are featured in the film. We'll ask about what impact the film has had on their lives, as well as what has happened to them since the cameras stopped rolling. We'll end the night by presenting the GLAAD Media Award to the filmmakers followed by a reception.

L Word Mississippi: Hate the Sin is a provocative and moving documentary that explores the lives of gay women living in the conservative, religious deep South and the unique hardships, bigotry, bullying, sexism and racism they endure. It is produced by Ilene Chaiken of 'The L Word' and 'The Real L Word.'

This event is free.  Please RSVP below.
